pounds of produce harvested during Spring 2 Session.

The veggies are poppin’ on the OK Farm! After Opps Spring 2 finished the session strong with a harvest of 51 pounds of produce. Crops harvested included spring veggies such as spinach, radishes, a variety of lettuces, beet tops, kale, and garlic scapes! Warriors practiced their planting and harvesting skills and learned how to weed a garden properly. We also were able to install the Warrior-made OK Farm Sign!

We were only forced to be inside during one rainy Monday. On this day we made planter signs using beads and wire. This will help us remember what we planted and where. On the remaining days where we got to be outside, Warriors were not afraid to get dirty.

“I like the farm”, said Warrior of the Year, Eliza. “I like working hard and getting my hands dirty”.

There will be plenty of opportunities to get our hands dirty on the OK Farm in the upcoming sessions!
