This Fall 1 Session of After Opps has flown by. Programs included baking, flag football, farming, community opps, personal hygiene, jewelry making, dance, peer led planning, cooking, and talent show!

Warriors in the Farming program did some of the final work at the farm for the end of growing season.

Warriors in the Jewelry Making program spent some time making some necklaces and friendship bracelets for friends and family. “I made a bracelet for my mother. It was good! I had fun with Karisa and Katrina and Sara and everybody!” – Kareem

In the Talent Show program, the Warriors have spent the last few weeks practicing for their big dinner performance on the final night of the session.

“Are you ready for some football?” The Warriors braved the cold weather and played some flag football.

This session, we also had a special pasta dinner as a final fundraiser and to support the individuals that ran the Chicago Marathon to support Opportunity Knocks.

With the conclusion of the Fall 1 Session, we would like to inform you that the Fall 2 session registration is active. The programs for the Fall 2 Session include the following programs; Mondays -Bowling, Collage Art, Survivor, Farming; Wednesday – Community Opps, Peer Led (Programs led by other warriors); Friday – A Wok and a Hard Place (Asian Cuisine), Drawing 101, Movies Throughout The Decades, History of Video Games.
