Dear Warrior Friends and Family,
The June Sun-Raiser is an annual fundraising campaign for Opportunity Knocks, launched at a critical time to support the most important needs of our mission. This year, we are highlighting the impact that Warriors have on the communities around them and the many ways they enrich the lives of others. Through this campaign, we also recognize an opportunity to engage our broader community in supporting that impact. We invite you to explore these stories and hope you will join us in supporting the continued growth and development of the Warrior Mission.
Funds raised through these efforts will support the continuation of the Warrior Mission. Our campaign goal is $50,000.

Whether or not you’ve given, we ask that you consider spreading the word to your network, however you see fit. We have crafted several ways to participate in the campaign. In this guide, you’ll find:

We DO NOT have a benefactor providing a match component in this campaign. We DO have grit, resilience and determination to meet the moment and do what we need to do to meet the moment and raise the support that is required.

Employer Matching Programs | We encourage everyone to check whether their employer has a matching program. WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
If you are not on Facebook or Instagram, reach out to family and friends through email and ask for their support. A personal note of support goes a long way with your posse to raise the OK banner. Feel free to add use the email template on the next page and/or add your own personal message.

I invite you to join me in supporting Opportunity Knocks’ June Sun-Raiser. This campaign comes at a critical moment for Opportunity Knocks, as they step into a season of growth, transition, and new projects. Throughout the campaign, they’ll be sharing stories from the mission that bring this moment to life, highlighting both the exciting adventures ahead and the challenges they’re working to overcome.
Let’s help kick off the summer by showing up for the Warriors and the OK community.
This campaign aims to build support for the current major projects Opportunity Knocks is working on, all in pursuit of a world in which every warrior is fully able to live a life of their own design.
Opportunity Knocks is a place where Warriors can come together to enjoy while also engaging in friendships and personal growth. With OK’s continued success, they now have more Warriors that need mobility support devices and require staff and facility support for hygiene, toileting, etc. This daily activity requires staffing and equipment to safely transfer Warriors. This greater endeavor requires the initiative to improve a building that is long overdue for some new accessibility installations.
OK is also creating a new enterprise, the Knockout Clean Up Crew! Opportunity Knocks has an exciting opportunity to take on the building’s janitorial service on the 2nd floor. This opportunity will help offset the costs in the rent agreement AND afford them the opportunity to create new vocational opportunities for Warriors.
Finally, OK is making the Knockout Farm bigger and better than ever. As Year 2 on the farm gears up, OK is looking to install a compost system and a deer fence to protect crops from local wildlife. This is a full growing season for OK, and it should be a year of improvements and financial growth as well!
