Fundraising

The net proceeds from the gala account for nearly 15% of our total annual fundraising. COVID restrictions have challenged all of our fundraising efforts, making this virtual event even more critical.

OK Programs

We are currently providing 30 hours of virtual and in-person programming each week. We look forward to continuing to evolve the OK Programs platform to meet the needs of our Warriors.

Families

We serve more than 75 Warrior families in our community.

Community

Community partnerships are integral to advancing our mission and providing meaningful life and community experiences to our Warriors. We connect with 35+ corporate partners, 20+ wellness partners and 3 universities through our programming and enterprise operations.

FUND OVERVIEW

Last year at this time, we faced a very challenging outlook. The COVID-19 crisis created a cascade of hurdles that forced us to re-think, re-tool and re-imagine all facets of our organization, from our physical environment to our programming and enterprise operations. Thanks to the creativity and ingenuity of our staff and the tremendous support of our community, we weathered every obstacle and preserved our resources, our program space and, most importantly, our connections with our Warriors and families.

Today, we are excited about what comes next for OK. We are excited to look farther forward as we continue to support life and community for our Warriors. The first step in this process will be to revamp our strategic plan. The current plan has served us well but we will assimilate what we have learned over the past decade and build out the next-up plans. We will develop a progression for our OK Programs platform, leaning into some of the program templates and formats developed over the past year. We are going to revisit our enterprise plan and build in a business plan for the Knockout Smokehouse Deli to go along with continued growth of the Knockout Pickles and Knockout Farm activities. Finally, we will take important steps in the year ahead to provide residential services to Warriors interested in living in the community.

All these steps will take big collective efforts. We will need more human resources, more space, more technology, more partnerships and more investment from our community.

Our Purpose

PLAN

We will rewrite our strategic plan this year in order to provide a structured roadmap and strategy for our organization to fulfill its mission.

LEARN

We will continue to evolve the OK Programs platform to meet the needs of our Warrior and their families. We will leverage lessons learned over the past year to develop program templates and formats that address program goals and seek out community partners to enrich these efforts.

WORK

We will build out a business plan for the Knockout Smokehouse Deli to go along with continued growth of the Knockout Pickles and Knockout Farm activities. We are going to support more Warriors at Work.

LIVE

We are also going to become a licensed provider in residential services so that we can support Warriors that want to live in this community.

Warrior Voice

The voice of our Warriors is at the heart of our mission. They guide our program planning, they are integral members of our social enterprise team and their voice will direct our path forward in residential services.

The Warriors were at the forefront of steering our response to the COVID crisis and social justice issues. They led with love, compassion, and concern for the impact on our broader community.
