Fall Festival – Fall is one of the most exciting times of year and one of the seasons most people look forward to being a part of. This Fall we will explore fun activities and opportunities to help bring in the Halloween spirit, from making our own scarecrow to carving pumpkins.
The 2016 regular NFL season is upon us! Which means it is time for the Warriors to “suit up” and play some flag football. Every week two teams will go head to head and re-visit the basics of football.
Warriors will get dirty on the farm harvesting fruits and veggies, picking plenty of cucumbers for Knock Out Pickles!
Community Opps is celebrating the season this Fall by teaming up with neighborhood organization Hephzibah Children’s Organization. They will be joining us for our annual Halloween celebration at the River Forest Community center. Connecting Warriors with the community and serving friendship, fun and more!
DO IT YOURSELF CRAFTS
The Warriors will engage in creating their own craft. Certain crafts may be themed according to a seasonal holiday.
Bocce ball and Croquet are fast becoming a popular game for our generation. We are past the dark ages (THANKS TO TECHNOLOGY) so simple games like Bocce now incorporate awesome GLOW IN THE DARK BALLS!!! We will spend this session learning the rules, getting a lot experience, and having a ton of fun!
FEAR FACTOR – ROUND 2
Each week we will see if the Warrior contestants have what it takes to overcome their fear and complete a few stunts. Wondering what will the Warriors will win for completing these stunts? Their prize will be the ability to seek revenge by putting some of our staff through a fear factor challenge.
PEER LED PROGRAM PLANNING
Peer Led Planning will give the Warriors the opportunity to take the wheel and come up with a program that will be led the following Fall 2 session. Peer planning helps Warriors take leadership and initiative and if that’s something you’re interested in come check this group out.
BIKES & TRIKES
Three wheels, two wheels, one wheel– it’s time to roll!! Warrior bicyclists will learn bike safety and head out to spin their wheels.
With Halloween coming up, Warriors in this program will be creating their own costumes.
FARM TO TABLE COOKING
In this program Warriors will be preparing food for our OK Family Dinner with food that we’ve grown in our garden and at the OK Farm!
